Opening Conference of Alcance Social!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is real.

After the excitement of interns arriving last week (hooray to all those airport pick-ups and walks through Bogotá!) the project ALCANCE SOCIAL started on Monday for real.
And yesterday the grand opening conference! the list of speakers was impressive and inspiring:

*Diego Andrés Molano, Director de Programas Presidenciales (Acción Social) - and what's more, he is also proud Alumnus of AIESEC in Colombia, and played a huge role in making ALCANCE SOCIAL come true.
*Armando Escobar, Secretario General (Acción Social) - also proud AIESEC alumnus, another big figure... especially when it comes down to the budget of ALCANCE SOCIAL...
*Harvey Suárez, Consultor independiente con larga experiencia en la temática del Desplazamiento en Colombia
*Adriana Buchelli, Oficina - Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Refugiados (ACNUR)
*Ligia Margarita Borrero - Subdirectora Oficina de Atención a la Población Desplazada (Acción Social)

And in the afternoon a panel:
*Diego Beltrand - Jefe de Misión – OIM en Colombia
*Marco Romero - Presidente CODHES
*Padre Mauricio Pontini - Director Programa de Atención a la Población Desplazada – Pastoral Social
*Diego Andrés Molano, Director de Programas Presidenciales (Acción Social)

We definitely learned a lot about our beloved Colombia, and are inspired to achieve every day more prosperity for every citizen...
